You are invited to participate in a research study. This form is designed to inform you about the research, your participation, and your rights as a participant. Please read this document carefully and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Purpose of the Study

The purpose of this study is to understand what encourages people to give to the charity Macmillan Cancer Support and what matters most to them. Your feedback will help us create campaigns that inspire more people to support mental health work in the UK.

Duration and Procedures

The interview will take approximately one hour. It will be conducted in a virtual meeting session and the interview will be recorded to ensure accurate transcription and analysis.

Voluntary Participation

Your participation is voluntary. You may choose to withdraw at any time without any consequences. You can also refuse to answer any questions you feel uncomfortable with. By completing this form, you give Harness Ltd (and Associates), Macmillan Cancer Support (Macmillan Cancer Support, registered charity in England and Wales (261017), Scotland (SC039907) and the Isle of Man (604). Also operating in Northern Ireland) permission to use the insights you share to help improve fundraising efforts.

Data Protection

All personal data collected during this study will be processed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Data will be securely stored and only accessible to the researcher and clients. The recordings will be transcribed and deleted after 12 months by Harness Ltd. Participating clients will hold on to data for as long as reasonable and necessary.

Use of Data:

The data collected will be used for research reports and used to inform their fundraising and marketing activity of participating clients. Rights as a Participant: You have the right to access your personal data collected during the study. You have the right to request the deletion of your data. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time and without providing a reason.
