Consent to participate in research

Drinking Habits Online Diaries via Recollective Platform

Thank you for considering our research! This document outlines the details of the study we're conducting. Please read it carefully to understand what's involved before you decide to participate.

Background to the research

You will be invited to an online research platform called recollective. If you agree to take part in the study, an email from the platform will be sent to you on Thursday 14^th August inviting you to sign-up (if you don’t receive by 2pm please check your junk email/spam). The email will come from: [email protected]

When you sign up, you will sign up with your full name but set a username that is visible on the platform. You can also upload a profile picture, but this is optional. This is going to be a private study, so your responses will not be visible to any other participants in the study.

You will be required to log into the platform every day from Thursday 14^th August to Wednesday 20^th August. Every day we want you to share with us if you have had any alcoholic drinks at home the day before (starting from Friday) via videos and photos. There will also be a daily topical activity about alcohol drinking behaviours and attitudes (will require a mixture of written responses, videos and photos). We estimate this will take approximately 20 minutes per day. You will need to complete both elements every day to qualify for your final incentive.

Your responses will be used for internal insight and reporting purposes only.
