Research Consent and Privacy Policy

Hello,

Thank you for agreeing to participate in our research project. Before chatting to us we want to make sure that you understand the guidelines that we follow as a market research agency, the information that we collect from you, how we use it and store it and our expectations from you as a participant.

Please read the below information carefully and sign to show your agreement and provide your consent. Without your signature, you will not be able to participate in the research session.

Who is Link Consumer?

We are an independent market research agency and consultancy that works in accordance with the Market Research Society Code of Conduct (MRS) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Our projects are carried out on behalf of various clients – we don’t often tell you in advance who the client is, but you will be told that information during our session

You have been invited to take part in our market research project by Roots Research, a recruitment agency based in in the UK. Your participation is completely voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time. However, in order to participate, there are a few things that we ask of you.

Participate in recorded online group interviews
Keep all information related to this project confidential. This means that you will not share, record, copy or forward any information that you have received, seen, or heard during this project to any third party.

The purpose of this project is to help us understand your opinions of and attitudes towards vodkas, gins and the white spirit category in general

The information we collect from you and how it is used

A copy of the personal information you provided to Roots Research including, but not exclusive to forename, age, gender, job title, will be shared securely with us at Link for the purposes of clarifying your participation. This will be securely deleted upon completion, and we will have no further access to it.
Your image and/or voice is captured as part of the research through video recording, audio recording and/or photography. We will never personally identify you in our findings or attribute any of your opinions to you by name, but these recordings and your contributions may also be viewed by our colleagues, our client, and third parties who are involved in the project such as their creative teams or retailers.
Your responses may only be used for analysing findings. They cannot be used in public settings or for any public purposes, for example, advertising, public relations, publicity or promotion on any platform including social media.

Protecting your personal information

Link and their clients work strictly in accordance with the Market Research Society Code of Conduct, UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Unless you are informed otherwise, any recordings taken as part of the research will be stored securely by Link for 2 years and will then be securely deleted by May 2028. Your rights

Participation is voluntary and if you do not want to participate you can withdraw participation at any time. You can refuse further collection of personal information and whilst we hold your personal data, you can access it, request we delete it, rectify it and/or object by emailing [email protected]

If you have any complaints regarding this research, you can complain to the Market Research Society (MRS) at www.mrs.org.uk. Link and its clients are all bound by the MRS Code of Conduct.

If you have a concern about the way we are using your personal information, if we do not address your request, or fail to provide you with a valid reason why we have been unable to do so, you have the right to contact the Information Commissioner’s Office to make a complaint. They can be contacted via their website www.ico.org.uk/concerns/
