NSPCC Participant Consent Form

Thank you for your interest in taking part in the research we are conducting on behalf of the The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC). The following outlines the terms of participation and how your data is handled:

  • The purpose of the research is to gain feedback that will help the NSPCC to develop the solutions and resources it offers in the area of safeguarding and child protection
  • Research will take the form of a one-to-one interview via video call (via Zoom) Interviews will last 45 minutes and will be conducted by an experienced member of the OKO research team
  • This research is confidential, you would not be identified as having taken part and nothing you say would be attributed to you as an individual in the project findings/ reporting
  • There is only one instance where we would not be able to keep everything you say confidential - that’s if any of our discussion suggests that a child or vulnerable adult is at risk; we would need to pass that information on, for example to the NSPCC
  • We ask that wherever possible you have a quiet, private space from which to take part in the interview
  • We will pay an incentive to say thanks for taking part – this is provided by OKO and is a recognition of the time/ effort associated with people’s participation – this will be paid as a PayPal payment after participation.
  • You are entitled to withdraw your consent or request deletion of any of the personal details we hold for you at any time. You can do this verbally, during or at the end of this interview, or by writing to Jeremy Rix (OKO’s Data Protection Officer) at [email protected]
