Insight Consent Form

We’re working with Girlguiding as an independent research and innovation agency to explore exciting new ideas that could make Girlguiding even better for girls aged 11 and over (Guides and Rangers) — and help more girls discover the fun of joining.

As part of this, your child is invited to take part in a relaxed, friendly conversation with a friend and an insight expert from Flying Cars Innovation. Together, they’ll get to see some of the ideas we’re exploring and share their honest thoughts — what they love, what they don’t, and what could make Girlguiding even more fun, meaningful, and relevant for girls their age.

It’s a great opportunity to have their voices heard and help shape the future of Girlguiding for themselves and others. Please review and complete this form to confirm if you are happy for your child to take part in this research.

Project Overview

Activity: Your child will take part in a one-hour online research session over Zoom, alongside a friend. It will be a relaxed and informal conversation.

Purpose: We’re exploring new ideas to help Girlguiding better meet the needs of girls aged 11 and over. During the session, we’ll show a range of ideas by screensharing and ask for their honest thoughts — what they like, what they don’t, and how we could improve them to make Girlguiding even better.

Recording: The session will be recorded so we can accurately capture what’s said. Short clips from these recordings may be included in a short video shared with the Girlguiding team — this helps them hear girls’ views in their own words.

Recordings will not be shared publicly.

All recordings will be stored securely and archived within six months of the project ending and deleted within three years.

Use of Data: We’ll share key quotes and insights with Girlguiding, but only when they’re relevant to the project. All information will be handled responsibly and kept secure, with data archived within six months of the project ending and deleted within three years.

Safeguarding

All research calls adhere to the Market Research Societies Code of Conduct (2023) and MRS Guideline: Conducting data collection activities with children (2020).

All research calls adhere to Flying Cars Safeguarding Policy and Children and Young People Research Policy.

All Flying Cars Staff members present on calls have been DBS checked.

Any concerns disclosed during the session that indicate a child may be at risk will be reported to Flying Cars Innovation Co-Founders and to Take Part in Research with whom you’ve been recruited through.
