Participant Privacy & Data Protection Form

Thank you for considering taking part. We understand your financial information is private. This document explains exactly what will (and won’t) happen during the session.

All our research sessions are hosted on Google Meet, which protects participant data with robust, default-on encryption for all data in transit and at rest, alongside strong host controls to manage meeting access and participation. Throughout research sessions, we adhere to strict data privacy principles and GDPR compliance, where participants never share passwords or login credentials during screenshare interviews. Any personal
information that is observed is anonymised or redacted as soon as reasonably practicable after the session with any original data being permanently deleted.

What We Capture
- The screen journey – how you navigate the app and which features you use.
- Your spoken feedback during the session.
- Throughout, sensitive financial details may appear on screen.

How Sensitive Information is Handled
- If sensitive details (e.g. balances or transactions) are shown, they will be:
- Anonymised immediately after the call so they cannot be linked to you personally.
- Stored securely in line with UK data protection regulations (ICO/GDPR standards). -

- Secure storage: All recordings are encrypted and held in line with UK regulatory requirements.
- Anonymised analysis: Reports focus on trends and behaviours, never on individual identities.

Use of Information
Your feedback will be combined with others to create insights that help improve digital financial experiences.

Nothing shared will identify you personally.
