What is this project about? 

The GOOD Agency is conducting research to gain insight into how specific audiences respond to ideas for Principality Building Society’s (PBS) future marketing.

What happens if I decide to take part? 

We will invite you to a Focus Group session where you’ll have a conversation with one of the people in our research team, as well as up to 7x other participants. It will take place via Zoom and will last about 90 mins.

Who are GOOD Agency? 

GOOD Agency is creative agency based in London, who are working with Principality Building Society to develop some of their future marketing.

What are my rights if I take part? 

It’s totally up to you whether you take part. You can say yes or no at any time without giving reason, without upsetting us or anyone else and without any impact to yourself or people you know.  
You have the right to privacy. We don’t share anything that would identify you (like name or addresses) with anyone outside the research team. When we write our report, we might use quotes from you, but never with your name. Transcripts of the sessions will be taken for note taking purposes only. Audio & video recordings of the sessions will be shared securely with a small team at Principality Building Society, and these will be deleted after 12 months.
You have the right to decide how much you share. We’ll be led by you. You can choose not to answer questions that feel like too much - or take breaks - or stop if that feels right for you. It’s your call. 
You have the right not to be judged for what you share with us. We will listen to what you share with empathy, not judgement.  
You have the right for your data to be held safely. All personal information will be deleted after 12 months.
You have a right to change your mind, or ‘withdraw consent’ at any time. This can be before, during, or after the session. If afterwards you decide you don’t want us to use what you shared, email [email protected] , and ask us to delete your data. It’s no problem.
You have the right to ask questions, or get in touch if you have a complaint, any time. Just email [email protected]

What happens to the information I share, or ‘my data’? 

If you take part, we’ll record the Zoom meeting (audio & video) and take notes. We will also transcribe the session for note taking purposes only. This recording will be shared securely with a small team at Principality Building Society, and this will be deleted after 12 months.

We only keep 1x file with your name and other identifying information (like your phone number) so we can reach you. This is held securely and not shared with anyone outside the research team.  

We’ll write a debrief that will be shared with Principality Building Society to inform our recommendations. Within this document, we don’t include anything that identifies you (like your name, or video recording that shows your face).  

Once the debrief presentation is finalised, to protect your privacy, we delete the audio/video file and file with your name and other identifying details. This will be done after 12 months.

Your information will not be used for any other purpose than is set out in this document and we will not share your details with any other third-party organisation.

Taking part in this research is my choice: I don’t have to if I don’t want to. I am free to withdraw at any time without reason.

I’ve had a chance to ask questions if I want to - and I can ask more at any time. 
What I share in the conversation will be used to help inform a debrief to Principality Building Society on the perception of new marketing ideas. The GOOD Agency will share these insights with PBS only. Any quotes from me won’t include my name. 
I understand that there will be an audio and video recording of our conversation/depth interview and the researcher may take notes too. All of this will only be used for this research project and for no other purpose. 
Anything I share is held securely. Personal identifiable data will be deleted after one year. Anonymised data will be retained for future use. 
If anything makes me uncomfortable, I want to stop and take a break, or there’s a question I don’t want to answer, that’s not a problem. Raising concerns won’t cause trouble for the researcher, it won’t change my relationships with Principality Building Society, and it won’t mean I’m judged in any way. My comfort is the most important thing. 
I can withdraw consent at any time - even after the interview is over - by emailing [email protected], which would mean nothing I’ve shared will be used. It will all be deleted.
