Research Consent Agreement

Project Name: Essence

Hello and thanks for being part of this research project.

You have been invited to take part in our research project. This research is being conducted by roots Research and The Sauce on behalf of an international tobacco company.

You have been invited to take part in 2 hour online group discussion. As a thank you for your time you will receive an incentive of £80 enter amount. This will be paid to you by The Sauce, via bank transfer within approximately 1 week of the research session].

This research session may be observed by people connected to the project and may be recorded using audio/visual methods including live streaming.

We will collect and use your personal data

By giving your consent to participate in this project, you are agreeing to the following collection and use of your personal data. For this project this will include your name, contact details and bank details (if applicable) for incentive payment and your demographic group, audio recording, video footage, photographs for research purposes.

Where does your personal data go?

Your personal data may be made available to our client or persons working with our client in connection with this research in Spain/UK or other countries both in and outside of the EEA/UK for market research purposes. The research may be observed by our clients and people connected to the project. Your data will also be shared with parties connected with the set up and running of this research project.

How long will your personal data be kept?

Personal data such as phone numbers, address and email addresses and video footage/photos will be deleted by us 6 months after the project is completed. Some personal data we have collected (i.e. photographs/audio/video footage), may be included in research outputs. Research outputs may be held by our clients for no longer than 6 months and while there is still a valid purpose for its use in connection with the research. This will be subject to the client’s privacy policies and security measures.

What we won’t do with your personal data

Your personal data will not be broadcast, put in the public domain, used for direct marketing purposes, automated profiling, sold to third parties or used for any other purposes not stated here without getting your explicit consent.

What if I change my mind?

You can withdraw your consent at any time. If you would like to do this or have other questions about the ongoing use of your personal data, please contact us by email at (input partner agency email address) and [email protected]. Should you choose to withdraw your consent, we will no longer use your personal data.

Statement of Agreement

You agree to ensure that all information relating to this project including concepts or ideas discussed or shown to you during the research, will be kept strictly confidential and private at all times. You agree not to disclose any of the information to any third parties or place any information in the public domain.

You also agree that all information, concepts, inventions, intellectual property or ideas that are generated as a result of your participation in this project are not your property and belong solely to The Sauce and/or its clients.

You agree to refrain from capturing images during the sessions via camera, video, smartphone, screenshot, screen recording or otherwise. Photo-capturing devices should be stored away during the session.
