GENERAL INFORMATION

You have confirmed your desire to participate in a research study which you have been briefed about (‘Research’) carried out by Walnut Unlimited Limited (‘Walnut Unlimited’) for and on behalf of our client. Note we will share details of the client during your session (‘Client’).

Walnut Unlimited is carrying out the Research and processing the results of the Research for the Client. Participation in the Research is voluntary, please read through the information provided below before agreeing. If you are in any way unsure about what the Research involves, feel free to ask Walnut Unlimited for more information at any stage and do not sign this document until you are comfortable that you understand it fully.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Any information you will be shown during the Research is owned by the Client or, in some instances, Walnut Unlimited. Any information, written or otherwise, relating to brand concepts and ideas is confidential information belonging to Walnut Unlimited or our Client. You therefore agree to keep any information confidential and not to disclose it or discuss it with anyone or make reference to it on any social media outside the Research. Upon request, you will destroy, erase, or return any confidential information you have received during the Research.

Please note that you will not be permitted to use your mobile phone, tablets, or any other recording device (unless for emergency reasons) whilst taking part in any of the Research. This is in the interests of protecting the confidentiality of any Client products and other confidential information during the Research and preventing any deliberate or accidental disclosure anywhere, including on social media.

CONSENT

The Research being carried out is an online interview and this will include the gathering and use of your personal data being collected solely for the purposes of undertaking the Research project. The results and output (including a recording of the research interview) will be passed on to the Client if this is required for the purpose of the Research.

Any personal data you provide during the Research will be processed in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 2018 ('UK DPA') and in accordance with Walnut Unlimited’s privacy notice found

You agree to take part in the Research and acknowledge that the Research has been fully and clearly described to you.

You agree to comply with the confidentiality provisions set out herein.

You have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of the information presented above, including mobile device use.

You understand that Walnut Unlimited will not disclose any of your personal data to anyone else without your written consent, but you agree that any information and data you provide may be used by either Walnut Unlimited and the Client solely for the purposes of the research being undertaken.

Walnut Unlimited is a joint data controller, together with the Client under the UK DPA as both parties determine the purposes and means of processing your personal data as part of the Research. Both Walnut Unlimited and the Client have concluded terms between each other, determining each party’s responsibilities vis-à-vis the processing of your data under this agreement.

Please be assured that Walnut Unlimited takes the privacy of all personal information, however collected, very seriously. As above, for all information about how Walnut Unlimited and handles your personal data as a Research participant please read our privacy policy shared above.

Should you have any concerns about how your personal data is being processed in accordance with this agreement, or wish to exercise any of your rights under the UK DPA, please contact Walnut in the first instance.
