We're a research recruitment company called Take Part in Research and are looking for boat owners in Penarth and Portishead to take part in a new research project to talk about their experiences and priorities when it comes to the marina where their boat is berthed.

What’s the research for and what does it involve?

The research is being conducted by an Independent company called Venturebrand and aims to better understand the needs, priorities and experiences of boat owners. All the insights gathered will help the team understand what's working really well across different places that they can learn from, and where there are opportunities to improve.

Taking part in this project will involve participating in a one off 90 minute online research interview via Zoom which you can join on a laptop, desktop or tablet. As a thank you for your time and contribution, you'll receive £150 for taking part.

When is it?

The research inteviews will be conducted between 4th-13th August 2026. If you're interested we'll take some availability now and then call and/or email you to confirm a date and time in the next few days. Once your interview is booked we'll send you a booking confirmation email with the zoom link and all the details you'll need.

How will the things I say be used?

Any comments made in the research interview, and included in the research report will be anonymised, and any identifying information will be removed, so you can speak freely. None of your comments will be used for marketing purposes – you won’t find yourself on any websites or Instagram afterwards!
