Application process

You can apply for projects through their individual application pages. The length of the application form varies depending on how specific the participant criteria is!

To save you time applying for projects you might not be eligible for, you can make sure that your personal profile is completely up-to-date. This way, we can send you online surveys and projects we think you’ll be a good fit for!

If your application for a project is successful, one of our lovely team will give you a call to ask the last few questions and make sure that you fit the criteria. If you do, you’ll be booked in to take part! You’ll also get an email with all the details you need.

Unfortunately, due to the volume of applications we receive, we won’t always be able to let you know if you’re unsuccessful. Don’t let that put you off though – there will be a project that you’re the perfect fit for!

I never get picked for research

Each project we recruit for looks to meet a very specific criteria of participants. This means that often, even if we receive thousands of applications for a project, only a small handful of applicants are actually eligible to participate.

We will always send you projects that we think you might be a fit for, and we can do this much more accurately if you’ve completed your personal profile! The more you tell us about yourself, the better we can see what you might be eligible for.

What happens if I’m booked to take part

Once a team member has given you a call and confirmed that you’re the right candidate for the research, you will receive an email containing all the information you need to know!

If your research is taking place face-to-face, you’ll receive details of the venue, timings and anything else relevant. If it’s an online project, you’ll get links for the interviews or online groups.

Personal questions in the applications

Some of the questions we ask in the applications may seem a bit strange! That’s because we’re usually looking for people who fit a very tight criteria to take part in research. For example, although we might be recruiting a project about broadband providers, our client might also want participants to drive a certain car or have children of a certain age.

We also ask these questions so that we can send you jobs that you’ll be a good fit for. If your personal profile is up to date, it’ll save you lots of time filling out applications for jobs you might not be eligible for. We can come to you instead!

How long until I get paid

It can take up to 30 days after the research is completed for you to get paid for your input.

How are payments made

Payments are made in different ways depending on the project, most commonly through PayPal.
