Youth League Football Research!

Do you have a child under 12 years old who plays football in a local club? Are you a volunteer, or part of the team staff, for a youth team? We need your help!

We've teamed up with the Football Association to support them with collecting match data from grassroots youth football games between Saturday 2nd March and Sunday 28th April 2024.

To do this we need the help of a large team of match observers to attend the games and tally up information on events that occur during the matches. This data will then need to be submitted online after the game.

For each match observed, participants will receive £20 for Taking Part and observers can attend as many games as they choose over the 8-week period.

We're aiming to observe youth matches from Under 7's up to Under 12's across the country so if you're engaged with your local youth team, get involved!

When completing the form please answer carefully and as honestly as possible, there are no right or wrong answers.

If it looks like you'll be a fit for the research based on your application, a member of the Take Part in Research team will be in touch to provide more information and answer any questions you may have about Taking Part. Once we've signed you up, we'll send across all the materials for you to get started.

Note that you will need access to a printer to Take Part, as you'll be required to take a printed tally sheet and a letter of confirmation along to each match you observe.
