Income Experiences Research

Earn money in ways outside of traditional employment? We’d like to hear from you!

We're looking for people across the UK who earn income in different ways outside of traditional employment to take part in a new research project about their experiences. This could include buying and selling goods, making items to sell, carrying out casual work or services for money, or renting out property, equipment or other assets.

Taking part in this project will involve a 60-minute telephone or online interview with an independent researcher. As a thank you for your time, the client will make a £50 donation to a charity of your choice.

The research is completely confidential, anonymous and voluntary. The research is being carried out independently on behalf of the client, and taking part will not affect your current or future relationship with HMRC in any way.

We are looking to hear from a wide range of people and experiences, so if you think you may be eligible, we'd love to hear from you.

When completing the form, please answer carefully and as honestly as possible. There are no right or wrong answers – every application will be reviewed individually to determine whether you're a suitable fit for the research.
