Grassroots Youth Football Research!

Do you have a child aged 10 or under who plays football in a local club? Or are you a volunteer, or part of the team staff, for a youth team? We need your help!

We've teamed up with the Football Association to support them with collecting match data from Grassroots Youth Football games between Saturday 27th September and Sunday 2nd November 2025.

To do this we need the help of a large team of match observers to attend the games and tally information up events that occur during the matches. This data will then need to be submitted online after the game.

For each match observed, participants will receive £20 for Taking Part. In total, observers can submit data for 10 matches per person over the 6-week period.

We're aiming to observe youth matches from Under 8's, Under 9's and Under 10's across the country so if you're engaged with your local youth team, get involved!
